Stonewall Motor Lodge was one of those rare projects where design meets storytelling. I was tasked with reimagining a historic 1960s motor lodge and giving it new life—honoring its past while creating a fresh experience for today’s travelers.

The concept centered around capturing the spirit of a classic roadside stay, but with all the comfort and intention of a boutique destination. I focused on translating mid-century influences into warm, approachable interiors—choosing clean-lined furnishings, tactile fabrics, and subtle retro details that feel both nostalgic and grounded.

Each room was designed to feel inviting, not staged. I layered color, texture, and light in a way that makes the spaces feel collected over time rather than overly polished. The goal was for guests to walk in and instantly feel at ease—like the lodge had always been waiting for them.
